The Meadow Brown is one of our most widespread and common butterflies and is found almost anywhere there is tall grassland.

Where to look

Other than the hilly centre of the county, the Meadow Brown can be found almost anywhere where grasses are present including for example gardens, hedgerows and roadsides

Mid June to mid August
