Overview

A new species to the county, the first confirmed record in Cumbria is from Brigsteer Park Wood in July 2008 The butterfly lives in canopy of Elm trees and hedges and is often widely overlooked because of its sedentary nature.

Brigsteer Park Wood (SD 486877) and perhaps other woodland with Elms in the vicinity.
